ahhhh SO! mo/cuddlingthecthulhu and i were talking recently about doing some kind of mass effect-y thing together and after tossing around ideas indecisively for a while, we wondered if maybe it wouldn’t be fun to do a sort of ask jimmy vega type blog thing. with mo’s incredible art and my contributions somehow in some way presumably BUT MOSTLY MO’S INCREDIBLE ART. in case you don’t remember jimmy vega, his saga can be found here, here, here and here. chronologically. (again, not safe for work but totally worth it.)
originally we were thinking of doing a kind of post-game happy domestic type mshenko deal, but without knowing the specifics when it comes to what the dlc has in store for us, that didn’t seem feasible. our hearts belong to jimmy vega but he is, of course, part of an au, and an indulgent (though hopefully fun!) one at that, although. muscles! tattoos! the way mo draws vega’s beefy back! things! right?
so basically this post is a question! would anyone be interested in seeing a jimmy vega ask-y blog OR SOMETHING? with mo’s art and some ficlets and shepard cameos and such? (if not, there is the possibility of something. garrus related. as an alternative. just in case!) and…i need a question mark at the end here in order to let people reply with answers? maybe? thoughts?

Hello, I downloaded that Mshep fanmix "And So You Fell" the day I saw it posted in April, and I've listened to it countless times since. I think it's absolutely brilliant in arrangement and really brings life to what was in the game. I've never been one for fandom, especially when it took liberties with canon (or at least, what was actually seen in the game itself and related lore), but this mix really took what was there and made it blossom in all it's loveliness and poignant tragedy. Thank you

This mix was for me mostly a way of dealing with my own emotions regarding their relationship, the way it evolves and changes from game to game. Finishing ME3 for the first time with my male shep made me feel so ridiculously sad at the thought of how little time they ended up having, how brief it all was. So it was my way of dealing with that. And also an opportunity to wallow in it a bit because apparently i like the taste of misery ahah sob.
But that was also a way of filling the gaps I felt were there? To string all of their story together? Make sense of it in my head? If that makes any sense? I’m not a writer, so instead of writing a fic, i made a mix. with side drabbles ahah sob. so for you to say it made the canon blossom, well. that’s. that’s a really super wonderful compliment, thank you so much ;;

Mshenko Fanmix, "And So You Fell"
I couldn’t find the original post with this, so unfortunately I don’t know who to give credit for this wonderful mix (if you know who put it together, yell the name as loud as you can and I’ll link to the right person ASAP). Also, there are short, wonderful drabbles written for each song. I’ve only read them once because it was ridiculously painful, but if you feel like crying your eyes out I recommend them.
Whatever case. “And So You Fell” is an absolutely beautiful mshenko fanmix, I loved all but one song, and some of them… I won’t even mention how much they made me cry.
Seriously, Steve Cortez will seem happy compared to how you’ll feel after listening to this…
So yeah. Listen to it. It’s awesome. And heartbreaking. It will literally rip your heart out and stomp on it. It might also kick you in the face. Repeatedly. But that’s okay because mshenko is like that. Facekickingheartstompingpainfulpureawesomeness.
